We are so excited to host our last Spirit Night of the year at Eno River Brewery. A portion of all sales on June 4th will be donated to the River Park PTGO. Additionally, West Hillsborough Pizzeria will be delivering Pizza to the brewery and donating 50% of all delivery fees. Come out and enjoy a cold beverage and a pizza with your family! We hope to see you there. 

*Eno River Brewery offers a selection of wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and small snacks.

Help us restock the school supplies at River Park! Check out our Amazon Wish List and purchase an item or a few – all of these will be collected (Ship them to the PTGO address option during Amazon Check Out) and teachers will have an opportunity to take whatever they need!

Teacher Appreciation – Sandwich Bar – 1/23

We’re excited to kick off the new year with a special teacher appreciation lunch. The PTGO is hosting a Sandwich bar on Tuesday, January 23 (this is a teacher workday). Sign Up Here to bring an item to contribute to the luncheon! Volunteers Needed for Holiday Luncheon (Staff Support) – December 15

Help give our teachers a much needed lunch break for a special catered holiday lunch sponsored by the PTGO!  The students will be getting their reward of movie and popcorn for meeting the school-wide goal for the read-a-thon.  We need parent volunteers to cover classes during this time on December 15. There are several 45-minute time slots between 11:00 and 12:45.
You need to be an approved volunteer and sign up through volunteer tracker.

 The PTGO is hosting a holiday dessert spread on Thursday, December 14. We welcome all homemade or store-bought goods! Sign up Here!

Churro Dance Party (Read-a-thon) – Dec 7

The PTGO needs help running the Churro Dance Party!  We are looking for a parent to help organize the Churro Dance Party and for 3-4 additional volunteers to assist on December 7.  The party is from 10:15-10:45 so it would include coming early to warm up the churros, serving them and cleaning up.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Teacher Appreciation – Pasta Lunch 11/22

The PTGO Hospitality Committee is hosting a pasta lunch for teachers and staff on Tuesday, November 21st. We need your help!  Sign up here to donate an item (or a few) for the pasta lunch. We will collect items during the morning carline on Tuesday, November 21 and get all the dishes prepared and ready to serve! Thanks for supporting our wonderful teachers and staff! 

Painted Grape Fundraiser – Orders Due 11/21 @ 9AM!

Painted Grape is sponsoring a super cute and super easy PTGO fundraiser. Purchase their adorable Thanksgiving-themed painted canvas kit (all supplies are included) and a portion of the proceeds will go directly to River Park PTGO. Order your kit today for a fun craft to do over the Thanksgiving break! All orders are due by 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20. Kits will be sent home with students on Tuesday, 11/21.

Robotics Needs Our Support!

 River Park has two robotics teams advancing to the district robotics competition at Orange High School on November 18. The Robotics Competition is being coordinated and sponsored by River Park – special shout out to Mr. Mitchell for leading these efforts. Bedtime Stories Around the World – Nov 6

We need readers for River Park’s first ever “Bedtime Stories from Around the World” event on Monday, November 6th from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Children will be able to hear stories from around the world to celebrate the cultures, backgrounds, and heritage of our beautifully diverse school community.

Hey third grade families! It is that time of month where we stock the fridge for our wonderful river park teachers and staff. Third Grade families are on deck this month. Any items you purchase to donate can be dropped off during the car rider line on Friday November 3rd. If your child is a bus rider or a walker, they can drop the things in the front lobby upon arrival. 1st PTGO General Meeting

Don’t miss our first PTGO Meeting on September 14 @ 7pm. Join via Zoom to hear an exclusive presentation on “How to Help Your Child with Executive Functioning Skills” by School Counselor, Hope Carr. Are you unsure what Executive Functioning Skills are?  Or wondering why your child can’t remember where they put their shoes?  This presentation will help us look at these types of parenting mysteries and more. We’ll also be discussing some exciting improvements to the structure and operation of the PTGO and, of course, reviewing several upcoming events you won’t want to miss!  The call will be capped at 1 hour.  We look forward to seeing all of you!

If you have ideas or are interested in lending a hand, please join our google meeting on Thursday, September 7th at 8pm.
This meeting will be capped at ONE hour and we would love ALL the ideas and feedback as we begin planning!
